The use of photography for marketing and advertising purposes, such as selling a condo, is inherent as the age of mechanical reproduction thrives. Researchers know that an imagined object is as real, to our brains, as an object, which is seen. My photographs include the wrinkled plastic photographic banners, hints of the construction site behind translucent areas in the banner, and the “actual” beach scene where all this is taking place.
